RTC

Rhino Pi-X1 is equipped with an onboard RTC (Real-Time Clock) interface for installing a backup battery.

Recommended Battery: CR1632X (120mAh@3V)

Hardware Connection

Install a CR1632X battery into the RTC interface of Rhino Pi-X1. Please pay attention to the positive and negative poles of the battery during installation.

You can refer to the Hardware Information tutorial to locate the corresponding hardware interface.

Using RTC

Display System Time

Use the date command to display the current system time.

Write System Time to Hardware Clock

sudo hwclock --systohc

Display Hardware Clock

shell
sudo hwclock

Verify RTC Function

  1. Record the current system time.
  2. Disconnect the motherboard power supply and network connection.
  3. Wait for about 10 minutes, then reconnect the power supply.
  4. Check if the system time has advanced normally.
