Flashing Tool Installation

When using the Rhino Pi, developers need to pre-install necessary software on their local Windows computer. The required software is as follows:

  • USB Driver: USB_Driver_qud.win.1.1_installer_10061.1.zip
  • System Flashing Tool: QPST_2.7.496.zip
  • ADB Tool: platform-tools.zip

USB Driver Installation

  • Extract the USB_Driver_qud.win.1.1_installer_10061.1.zip file.

  • After extraction, double-click the setup.exe program and wait for the Qualcomm USB Drivers installation interface to appear. Follow the prompts and click next to complete the installation.

System Flashing Tool Installation

  • Extract the QPST_2.7.496.zip file to the current folder.

  • Navigate to the extracted QPST_2.7.496 directory and double-click the QPST.2.7.496.1.exe program to start the installation.

  • Follow the prompts and click next continuously to complete the installation.

  • Default installation path after completion: C:\Program Files (x86)\Qualcomm\QPST\bin.

  • You can navigate to this directory and send the QFIL.exe program to the desktop.

  • The desktop icon is as follows.

ADB Tool Installation

  1. Unzip
  • Extract the platform-tools.zip file to the D drive.
  1. Configure ADB Environment Variables
  • Copy the path of the extracted platform-tools folder.

  • Right-click "This PC" and select "Properties".

  • In the pop-up settings window, click "Advanced system settings".

  • In the Advanced tab of the pop-up System Properties window, click "Environment Variables".

  • In the pop-up Environment Variables window, select the Path variable in the "System variables" section and click "Edit" below.

  • In the pop-up Edit Environment Variable window, click "New" and add the previously copied platform-tools path.

  • Click "OK" in sequence to save the variable settings and exit.
  1. Verify if the ADB Environment Configuration is Available
  • Open the cmd window and enter adb. No error is reported.

Android System Installation

ROM Package Download

Please visit the Android Image download link to download the Android image for flashing.

Switching to Flashing Mode

  • After the device is powered on, use a USB Type-A to Type-C cable to connect the computer and the device. The Type-A end connects to the computer, and the Type-C end connects to the device.

  • After connecting, on the Windows computer, press WIN + R, type cmd, and execute adb devices in the opened window. Connected devices will be listed. If none are listed, wait a moment or unplug and re-plug the Type-C cable and execute the command again.

  • Switch to flashing mode by executing:

Configuring QFIL's Configuration Item

  • Open QFIL, and click on Configuration - FireHose Configuration at the top.

  • In the pop-up Download Configuration window, make the following settings:

Select 0-Sahara for Download Protocol

Select ufs for Device Type

Check the Reset After Download option

Ensure other options remain consistent with the screenshot below.

  • After configuration, click OK to save.

Selecting the Flashing Port

  • Click the Select Port option, and in the pop-up window, select the appearing 9008 port, then click OK.

  • After switching to flashing mode, the 9008 port should appear automatically in this window. If it does not appear, disconnect the power, restart, execute the switch command again, and wait for it to appear.

Selecting Build Type

  • Find the Select Build Type item and select Flat Build.

Selecting the Flashing File

  • Unzip the ROM file. We will use the "A8550BF1-100.T04_LA.user.2025111620.aidlux" version as an installation example.

  • Find the Select Programmer item, click Browse... next to Programmer Path, navigate to the unzipped path, and select the unzipped ROM file.

  • Change the file view suffix to All Files (*.*).

  • Select the xbl_s_devprg_ns.melf file and click Open.

Selecting the Flashing XML File

  • Find the Select Flat Build item, click Load XML... below it, and select the flashing XML file.

  • In the pop-up window, select All Files and click Open.

  • The interface will automatically pop up another window. Select All Files and click Open.

Starting the Flashing

  • Once all the above options are selected, click Download to start flashing.

  • Wait for approximately 5 minutes. When successfu appears, the flashing is complete. If flashing fails, please contact Aplux after-sales personnel.

  • After flashing is complete, the system will automatically reboot.

AidLux System Installation

AidLux Installation Package Download

Please visit the AidLux Image download link to download the AidLux image for installation.

Preparation Before Installation

After the device is powered on, use a USB Type-C cable to connect the computer and the device. The USB end connects to the computer, and the Type-C end connects to the device. Once connected, execute: adb devices.

After the device is recognized, start the AidLux system installation. We will use the installation of the "aidlux_2.0.0.1781_enterprise_qc8550_20250403-015609.zip" version as an example.

Installing AidLux

This method is suitable for installing the AidLux system on a Windows system.

  • Obtain the system file and unzip it locally. The unzipped folder contains 4 files. Click install.bat to start the system installation.

  • When the interface displays Success, the system installation is successful. Wait for system initialization.

  • When the system initialization progress reaches 100%, the system installation is complete.
