Hardware Introduction

This solution is based on the CEK2601-Pi5A8625MY1 adapter board developed by Firefly Workshop, enabling seamless integration between Raspberry Pi 5 and the A8625MY1 compute card. It is the preferred approach for entry-level developers to quickly validate AI applications.

Solution Components

  • Host Board: Raspberry Pi 5 (8GB version recommended), with a standard PCIe 16PIN physical interface
  • Adapter Board: CEK2601-Pi5A8625MY1 (by Firefly Workshop)
  • Core Compute Unit: A8625MY1 AI compute card (based on Qualcomm QCS8625 4nm chip, 60 TOPS INT8 NPU)
  • Required Accessories: 12V/3A DC power supply or 65W Type-C PD adapter, PWM cooling fan, USB-A to USB-C debug cable, PCIe 2.5G FPC cable (recommended, replaces Ethernet cable and improves communication stability), Gigabit Ethernet cable (optional)
