Installation Steps with A8625MY1
Pre-installation Checklist
Before installation, confirm the following items are ready:
- A8625MY1 AI compute card x 1
- Debug baseboard (A8625MY1-SUB-REVA) x 1
- 12V/3A power adapter x 1
- Type-C data cable x 1 (for serial debug)
- Ethernet cable (Cat5e or above) x 1
Installation Steps
Step 1: Insert the compute card
Align the A8625MY1 Mini PCIe edge connector with the Mini PCIe slot on the baseboard. Insert at about a 30-degree angle, then gently press the card down to the horizontal position and ensure the latch is locked.
Warning
Wear an anti-static wrist strap before operation and make sure installation is performed with power off. The compute card is sensitive to static electricity, and improper handling may damage the device.
Step 2: Connect the debug serial port
Use a Type-C data cable to connect J7 (DEBUG) on the baseboard to a PC. This interface breaks out the A8625MY1 UART for system login and debugging.
Step 3: Connect network
Use an Ethernet cable to connect J8 (RJ45) on the baseboard to a network switch, router, or directly to the host board.
Step 4: Connect power
- DC jack power (recommended): connect a 12V/3A power adapter to J4 (DC jack) on the baseboard.
- Type-C power: if using 12V Type-C power, solder a 22.6K 0402 resistor at the corresponding board position first (see the adapter board hardware document for exact location), then connect to J10.
Step 5: Power on and boot
After power is connected, the system boots automatically. The serial terminal will print Linux kernel boot logs.
Note
Power on the baseboard first, then connect/power the host board (for example Raspberry Pi).
